Dreame Short: Price, Free Episodes, Is It Worth It?

What should you know about DreameShort at a glance?

The former Apple listing (checked September 29, 2026), Google Play developer details and Stary brand history supply these facts. The app's interface languages don't tell you which audio or subtitles a given show has.

What is DreameShort?

DreameShort publishes serialized video stories, including romances, family conflicts and supernatural premises. The official catalogue gives you titles to search before paying. Start there if an ad brought you to the app and you want to confirm the series.

One short episode is a small piece of the story. Check the episode list as well as the preview, so you know whether the series is finished or still coming out. A paid period is harder to judge when the ending isn't out yet.

The similar names Dreame and DreameShort can be confusing. Stary describes the former as a reading product and the latter as its short-drama platform. Don't buy a book offer expecting it to unlock video unless the checkout says so.

Who makes DreameShort, and how is Stary involved?

Both the US Apple listing, when checked on September 29, 2026, and Google Play identify CRATER PTE. LTD. Google supplies a Singapore business address. That is the developer the store names. It is not a guess from the company name or where a drama was made.

Stary's own timeline says it launched DreameShort in September 2023 in partnership with collaborators. That shows a business connection. It doesn't give CRATER's current shareholders or name every collaborator.

What matters for you is the company on your receipt and the product you are buying. The ownership guide explains why an umbrella brand and a store seller can differ. This page doesn't name an unconfirmed owner for CRATER.

How much does DreameShort cost?

These are US-dollar entries from the US App Store, checked September 29, 2026, before the listing was removed. They are single purchases, not the cost of a whole series. On October 1, 2026, Apple returned no DreameShort record in the US storefront or 15 others, and Stary's App Store developer page no longer lists it. The US Google Play listing was still live that day, showing in-app items from $0.49 to $299.99 per item without naming each product.

No monthly or annual prices are confirmed. The list doesn't explain why there are two weekly prices either. What you actually buy is the offer, renewal amount and benefits your account shows.

Four charges at the listed $19.99 weekly rate would add up to $79.96. Four at $29.99 would be $119.96. Those are four weekly charges, not a monthly product. The renewal period matters as much as the headline price.

Use the short-drama price comparison to put a weekly pass beside your alternatives. Think about your total spend, not just the first purchase.

How do coins and passes work on DreameShort?

Coins are the app's in-app currency for unlocking single episodes. The store lists them separately from passes, and the developer discusses reward tasks for unlocking works in its Google Play responses. Before you choose, read the locked episode's terms and the description of each pass.

"Drama Pass" doesn't mean unlimited access to the catalogue. The name doesn't say whether it covers one story, a time period or something else. Check the offer screen. Don't guess from the name. Other apps call a paid access plan like this VIP.

For one series, add up the coins the remaining episodes need and subtract rewards you already have. Then compare the cash for that balance with a pass that clearly covers those episodes. If the app doesn't show enough to work out a total, set a spending limit before you unlock more.

Can you watch DreameShort free?

The app is free to download. CRATER's Google Play reply says activities and tasks can help users unlock works. So check the app's own rewards. There is no confirmed number of free episodes and no guaranteed daily coin allowance.

See how much of your title is free at the start, then look at the next locked episode. Note whether it takes a reward, offers a wait or needs a purchase. A free download doesn't answer that.

Before you spend time on a reward task, check how many usable coins it gives and when they expire, if the app says. Keep purchased and bonus balances separate if the app does. The free viewing guide helps compare official access routes without assuming the whole story will be free in one sitting.

Is DreameShort safe to use?

DreameShort has a named store developer, a publisher website and a published support contact. Use the store listing to verify the app you are installing and find the current help route. That confirms who runs it. It is not a security audit or a promise about quality.

The developer's Google disclosure says the app may share app information, performance data and device identifiers. Read the current disclosure and permissions before using the service. Privacy and spending are separate questions, and either one can be a reason to pick another app.

For billing or missing access, save the receipt, the offer screen and the affected series title. Describe what the account shows after payment. If you buy another pass before the first one is sorted, you can end up with a second charge and the same problem.

How do you cancel DreameShort?

Deleting the app does not stop a subscription. Use the provider on your receipt. Routes checked September 29, 2026:

Sources: Apple and Google. Keep the final confirmation and check the end date. Cancelling does not refund a past charge. For that, see how to request a DreameShort refund. The cancellation guide covers locating a plan when it is not in the account you first check.

Which DreameShort shows can you find?

These titles appeared on the official website when it was rechecked on October 3, 2026. The table gives the site's shelf. It adds no cast, release years or review scores without a source.

Shelves change, so this is not a ranking. Search the title in your own app, check its language options and see how much of the series is out. A title missing from a front-page shelf may still be on the service.

The 2025 Vertical Drama Love record credits DreameShort with How We Measure Guilt In Bed, where Eric Guilmette was a Lead Actor in a Drama nominee as Troy. It also lists Elyse Mirto as a Matriarch of the Year nominee for Bye Mr Ex, Your Commander Is Calling on DreameShort.

For wider discovery across publishers, the short-drama awards guide explains how to separate a nomination from a win. Neither type of recognition tells you what today's episode unlock will cost.

How does DreameShort compare with CandyJar?

CandyJar is a close comparison for romance and fantasy. Browse both before you subscribe to either, especially if you are after a theme rather than one exclusive title. See which catalogue has several stories you actually want to finish.

Then compare for a set amount of viewing: one finished story, one weekend or longer. Check the benefits of each DreameShort pass one by one. Do the same for CandyJar's access labels. The best-apps guide gives you other candidates if neither catalogue or payment model fits.
